About this product

Central Uganda around Lake Victoria is Africa's robusta heartland; mostly natural (Kiboko) processed into screen 18 and 15 grades, with two harvests a year and a full-bodied, clean cup.

Commtora sources green robusta coffee from Central, Uganda, specified by screen size, moisture and defect count, and prices every offer as a landed cost to your port — FOB origin, freight, your market's import duty and fees — against the published World Bank benchmark as an independent reference. Terms of payment and documents are agreed per contract.

Grades & specifications

Screen 13, 16 or 18; moisture typically ≤ 12.5%; black & broken bean and foreign-matter limits; natural (dry-processed) is standard, washed robusta trades at a premium. Specify crop year and sample approval terms in the contract.

How Commtora prices it

The ICO robusta indicator is already an ex-dock European price, so we do not add freight on top of it; we compare it with your landed price, show the gap and quote an origin offer on written terms.

Frequently asked questions

What does Screen 18 mean for robusta?

Screen size is the hole size the beans are retained on, in 1/64 inch: Screen 18 beans stay on an 18/64-inch sieve. Larger screens are more uniform and command a premium over standard exchange grades.

How is robusta priced?

Against the ICE London robusta futures plus an origin differential. The published ICO robusta indicator is a good independent reference for the ex-dock level in Europe.

Which origin should I buy robusta from?

Vietnam offers the largest volumes and tight differentials; Uganda offers natural, full-bodied robusta with good screen sizes; Brazilian conilon is priced aggressively in its season. The right choice depends on your blend and timing.
