About this product
Bình Phước is the centre of Vietnam's cashew processing, the world's largest kernel exporter, processing both local and imported African raw nuts into WW240, WW320 and WW450 grades.
Commtora sources cashew kernels from Bình Phước, Vietnam, specified by AFI grade (W180–W450, splits, pieces) and moisture, and prices every offer as a landed cost to your port — FOB origin, freight, your market's import duty and fees — against independent customs import statistics (Eurostat Comext for the EU, CIF) as a reference. Terms of payment and documents are agreed per contract.
Grades & specifications
AFI grades W180–W450, scorched (SW/SSW), butts, splits and pieces; moisture ≤ 5%; broken/spotted tolerances; aflatoxin within the limits of your market (the EU's are among the strictest).
How Commtora prices it
We benchmark kernels with Eurostat Comext customs unit values (EU imports, CIF) (an average across grades), adjust for your grade, add freight, duty and fees, and quote on written terms.
Frequently asked questions
What does W320 mean?
"W" is white whole kernels and 320 is the number of kernels per pound (about 660–705 per kg). It is the most traded grade; W240 and W180 are larger and dearer.
Vietnamese or Indian cashew kernels?
Both are major processors with AFI-compliant grading. Vietnam leads on volume and price; Indian kernels are often chosen for specific grades and whiteness.
How are cashew kernels packed for export?
Typically 2 × 22.68 kg (50 lb) vacuum-packed or nitrogen-flushed tins or flexible bags per carton — about 15–16 MT per 20-ft container.
